A nice little priest from Hardy’s made out of a brass head and a supple teak handle. I suggest adding a leather strap for security.

The classic canvas bag by Hardy Bros Alnwick, England. Fitted with 2 external and one main compartment. Leather straps and brass buckles .Broad adjustable shoulder strap and brass landing net ring to one side. A lot of use and thus patina, but no defects or tears. The spots inside can be removed with a stiff brush and cold water scrub, but I prefer like it is.

In canvas, with leather trim, brass zipper and shearling lining.  Takes a biggish salmon reel - 3 3/4″ diameter.

No name, no frills shoulder bag. Sturdy construction from canvas, leather and brass with rubberised main compartment and two smaller front pockets. Bullet proof, ready for many more years by the river.

Classic silk worm gut leader of unknown length and dimension in unopened and sealed envelope. It it is from 1930-1936 - Hardy moved its Edinburgh store to 69 George Street 1930 and King George passed away 1936. Delivered in a nice wooden frame.

50 small clips and 35 medium clips. Good used condition. Probably from 60’s or 70’s. The light and trustworthy silmalloy material with some scratches and patina.

NB: Throughout Richard Wheatley’s long history boxes have always been referred to as 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch and this continue to be done in the old way. The boxes are actually 3 ½ x 2 3/8 x 1 inch (89 x 60 x 25mm) 4 ¾ x 3 ½ x 1 1/8th inch (121 x 89 x 29mm) and 6 x 3 ½ x 1 1/8th inch (152 x 89 x 29mm) or 6 x 3 ½ x 1 ½ inch (152 x 89 x 44mm)

Identical to a 6” RW clip fly box. Some scratches and oxidation. 60 small clips and 56 medium ones.

28 medium clips and 40 small clips.

Clear signs of use and wear, with some corrosion, but I think it’s add to the feel of the item.
