Straw-colored cane with traditional Sweetgrass finish and carefully executed translucent honey wraps. Six-strip hexagonal construction. The rod measures 8' and weighs 4 1/8 oz., built for a #5 line. A beautifully proportioned trout rod, offering an excellent balance between delicacy and reserve. The 8' length provides good line control and reach while retaining the light, responsive feel expected from a fine bamboo rod. Medium, to Medium fast action. Serial number 1090.
The rod reflects the understated elegance and meticulous craftsmanship associated with Glenn Brackett's Sweetgrass rods. His typical writing on the blank. A fine example of contemporary American bamboo rodmaking, it is equally suited to regular use on the river or to a serious collection of modern bamboo rods.
