For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Duracane 7'6" 2/2 5wt impregnated bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #136, the rod is present in the H.L. Leonard database probably made around 1978/79. Medium tempered cane with lightly oxidized guides wrapped in transparent honey windings. Brown and black accents at the ferrules and winding check. All sections are full length & serialized, and the tips are dead straight with the 13/64 ferrules that fit perfectly, albeit with some external oxidation. All the writing remains clear and crisp in Tom Maxwell's distinctive script. Somewhat ridged 5" cork grip with nickel silver checks and blued cap & ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. Medium action, best with a DT5. A fantastic Duracane from Maxwell's tenure at Leonard. Sold in the original bag with stiffener and leather tab. Black brass capped tube in absolut perfect condition.
